I found this blog by way of a friend via facebook, fyi, so I've been following for a bit.
CPR by a grown man for 15 minutes on a little baby I'd think in my untrained, non-medical opinion could easilly cause something like this. CPR is, by its very NATURE, violent. With adult CPR (it's been quite a few years since my last recertification, but I remember the training well), we are often warned that ribs WILL crack. It is a violent pushing of blood through the system. It's trauma, really, in a minor sense, but that in no way means there can't be eventual side effects. In adult, those effects may not appear due to the physical resiliency and size of the body. With a little infant, who knows.....
From what you've written it seems the state is being wilfully ignorant of the issues and in so doing is now engaging in what be biblically described as "man stealing." I will be praying that they are prevented in their efforts.
Rachelle, I go to Mulvane Christian Church with your Mom & Dad. So sorry to learn about Phoenix's illness & the situation you find yourselves in. I did a little research & found the following article about the overdiagnosis of shaken baby syndrome. I hope you will be able to view this ABC 7 News article: (http://www.wjla.com) I thought it might be of interest to you. I plan to do a little more research on the subject & will send any info I can find that might be helpful.
Please know that I am praying for Phoenix & you & your husband; also the doctors, that there might be healing and a resolution to what is causing Phoenix's medical problems. May God's Blessings be with you. Connie Vaughn dvaughn2@pixius.net
